Kim Conrow
Native Plant Society of Texas Immediate Past President
North Texas
The Native Plant Society of Texas is a volunteer, chapter based organization with the mission to promote conservation, research, and utilization of native plants and native habitats of Texas through education, outreach and example. We have 35 chapters statewide with over 3,000 members. Many of our members are involved in demonstration gardens at schools and we have several initiatives that promote Monarch Waystations including a small grant program. Using school gardens as outdoor education areas to promote understanding of the importance of native plants is an area the Society is wanting to learn more about.
